Video for us

Right guys, oliskillz is going to make a video sometime (about .31), 1st of all i thought we could have the whole .31 community but then a lot might not be insterested so 1st of all im letting you guys know about it maybe just having a >nM< video?

its a video about fragging and maybe other asecpts about quake, so if you got some good videos of fragging and stuff, could you send them to me on msn or hotmail or email oliskillz on oli-nr1@voila.fr,

i have a couple of videos from a cw that got record, some nice frags by game echo mox and zera but need more videos to make a movie thinggy for us, so if you guys are interested then get recording, or just say so, then whenever i see you on ill record for you and it can be a uber video of >nM< clan ^_^

then ill post / give you the finished version when its been made

I made 2 demos today at the clanwar. It was of first and second map. Then I got a demo from the war against G!BON. It's only from my perspective, but it might do some good in a video too. And there are some nice frags in it. At least from me.

But the others in the clan should do some recording too.

PS. I got some demos from public servers as well. (like 15 demos. lol) I'll look through them later to find som nice frags. DS.

Nice sounds good, i got loads of me as well, just sent them to me or oli then when you find some good frags. (if you want certain frags then quote the time of the match where the frag is cos he can fast forward to a certain part)

btw do you record all cw's?

No, I don't record all the cw's.. I thought about doing that, but I keep forgetting about it when the war is starting. hehe. (btw, I got the end of when Dark took out the whole team..)

heh well you dont have to go tho them all, but the more the better, and the one with dark in will be good for the movie as well =D

you could just send them all rather then finding the time of the frag, might be easier for you xD

I've binded my demoing to F5, F6, F7 and F8. Like this:

/bind F5 g_synchronousclients 1
/bind F6 record
/bind F7 g_synchronousclients 0
/bind F8 stoprecord

It makes it really easy to start a demo Just press F5, F6 and F7 and you're good to go. hehe

btw i know i and some of you send videos to oli but he still needs more, just to let you know ^_^

And also shall we keep this to nM or like have some friends in it and other people we like and know in the vid?

I would like a nM video, just for present our clan. and i think i don't know this other people.
but i an't decide alone.

how make u a video with the demo ? can u encode the demo to another format ? 'cause i like make movie, and i would like to know how to make one with the quake demo files.

kokiri, I don't know exactly how he does it, but I used fraps to record from the demos. (first start Q3 and then start fraps, then start the demo) But it doesn't give that high fps-rate if you do it like that.

I have some of me playing now, I was playing crap but I have some really nice shots in there lol.

When you use fraps you get the raw .mpeg file which is HUGE if you record alot... You then use a converter to get it into .avi. There are tons of converter-applications around the internet that you can use.

Do u use fraps directly when u play, or do u use the quake demos (with F11 and F12) and latter use frap to record this demo and have a Mpeg file?

quake makes files in .dm67 or somthing like that. i just want to know if we can directly convert this type of file into a .avi or .mpeg

1: I start Q3.
2: I start a fraps-recording.
3: I start a demo.

That's how I do it. Then after that I convert it into .avi... But I don't know if there's a converter to convert .dm67 to .avi directly.

Can u give me this software coxon, then i could easier a lot of video. because now i do as zera do, using frap directly, but .dm67 files take less place.

Give them to me if you want echo or send them to oli yourself

q3mme is a mod for recaming and export demos into tga files [\capture tga 30 or 50 or whatever for 30 fps 50 fps etc...}, besides it record the game sound into .wav and more
then you need virtual dub to save your captured pictures into avi
