How to fix "Invalid .pk3 Files" error on 1.32
I didn't understand what it meant but then I realised I downloaded a moded version of efreeze by accident two hours before the war.
If you have this issue, please read a head to resolve it.
Before you start you must!Go into Quake, I recomend X-T server and type in "/writeconfig backup". This will save your current config into the efreeze folder. This includes things like binds, names, controls etc.
You NeedeFreeze Mod ---> Download from here. (Downloads > Select which mirror).
What To DoGo into your Quake III Arena folder, locate the 'efreeze' folder, go into there and move the 'backup.cfg' file in there onto your desktop to keep it safe. Now delete EVERYTHING in your efreeze folder.
Now open up the downloaded version of eFreeze. Open it up, open the efreeze folder and copy the contents of it, into your efreeze folder in your Quake III Arena folder.
Once this has done, move your 'backup' file into the efreeze folder and open quake and connect to X-T server. It might (I don't remember) download a few exra files.
You now have 'Pure' eFreeze.
Oh you will also need to do '/exec backup' to load your config.
Ok... Now what?Go into 1.32 and try and connect to one of the servers, if you don't know any just go into the 'War Us' section and find one of the recent IPs to the FN servers.
You should be able to connect.
Doesn't work, I still get kicked for the same reason! If this doesn't work, send me an e-mail and I'll send you my eFreeze folder.
